How To Influence People with BEST IMPROVED MY VITAMIN C IMPROVE BLOOD CIRCULATION IN SMOKERS

HOW I BEST IMPROVED MY VITAMIN C  IMPROVE BLOOD CIRCULATION IN SMOKERS IN ONE DAY

A study suggests that a single dose of vitamin C can improve blood circulation faster in poor than healthy young smokers.

A study of 25 healthy men found that although smokers initially showed poor heart blood flow tests, this changed after taking large doses of vitamin C - 2 grams.

According to findings published in a leading cardiovascular journal, immediately after taking the vitamin, 13 smokers showed blood circulation similar to that of 12 nonsmokers.

However, lest smokers think they can undo heart damage by chasing cigarettes with vitamin C pills, the researchers say their findings underscore the dangers of smoking.

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, a substance that helps rid the body of cell-damaging molecules called oxygen free radicals. Because of this, it's thought that the vitamin can prevent the "oxidative stress" that smoking puts on the lining of blood vessels -- a mechanism by which smoking leads to arterial disease.

The new study looked at the effect of oral vitamin C on coronary flow velocity reserve (CFVR), a measure of how well blood flow is able to support the heart during high demands. Previous studies have shown that smokers have less vasodilation and lower CFVR in response to increased blood flow.

The research team used a non-invasive ultrasound technique to measure CFVR in smokers and non-smokers before and after taking vitamin C.

They found that smokers had a lower CFVR than nonsmokers before taking the vitamin. However, after two and four hours of vitamin C supplementation, the smokers' mean CFVR had "recovered" to more normal levels.

Although the men in the study were given a large dose of vitamin C, the researchers report that taking doses greater than 200 mg is probably useless, as the body will excrete the excess.

Also, it is not clear whether smokers can benefit from vitamin C loading. Some trials have shown that taking C supplements does not improve the function of blood vessels in smokers, at least in the short term.

Larger scale testing should be conducted to determine whether daily vitamin C supplements reduce the long-term risk of coronary artery disease in smokers, the researchers added.
